If you have a medical emergency overseas, call the Overseas Care Management Co-ordinator on the phone number listed on the back of your CINICO benefit card to obtain a preauthorization for emergency service. They will direct you to the closest hospital emergency room where these services will be paid to the plan benefit maximums.
A medical emergency means a sudden onset of a condition with acute symptoms requiring immediate medical care. It includes such conditions as heart attacks, cardiovascular accidents, poisonings, loss of consciousness or respiration, convulsions, or other such acute medical conditions.
