Claims - whether local treatment or overseas emergency - claims must be filed with the Claims Administrator within 180 days of the date that charges for a service were incurred. Claims filed after 180 days cannot be considered for payment, but if you are billed directly by the service provider within that time, you should inform CINICO. Claims will also only be accepted if submitted in English.
Remember that the only nonpreauthorized overseas services covered are those for life-threatening emergencies or sudden and serious onset of illness. All other services must be provided by the HSA in order to be covered under the plan. If you or any member of your family sees an overseas provider for a non-life threatening condition, the cost will be your responsibility.
